Mobile Occupational Health Technician (OHT)

Location: Cambridge and surrounding areas (within a 60-mile radius)
Salary: £28,000 per annum + £2,000 annual car allowance
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and flexible Mobile Occupational Health Technician (OHT) with their own vehicle to join our team.

This is a varied, field-based role involving travel to different locations across the Cambridge region to deliver occupational health services. You will support onsite clinics, carry out health surveillance and conduct a range of medical assessments and workplace testing.

The successful candidate must be comfortable travelling regularly, working independently and adapting to changing schedules. The role also requires an initial two-week training period in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Covering occupational health clinics as required.
  • Attending various sites to carry out health surveillance.
  • Conducting fitness-for-work medicals.
  • Carrying out drug and alcohol testing.
  • Travelling to different locations within a 60-mile radius of Cambridge.
  • Maintaining professional standards and delivering a reliable service at all locations.

Requirements

  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Own reliable vehicle suitable for regular business travel.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Cambridge region.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime and undertake overnight stays when required.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A professional, reliable and adaptable approach to work.
  • Willingness to complete two weeks of initial training in London.
